Senior Director of Engineering - Ultimate Software
Steve Cover is an accomplished senior technology executive with an extensive record of success in software and technology companies. He has directed technology efforts in companies of all sizes from early stage to Fortune 50. Steve was a Finalist for the 2013 Georgia CIO of the Year and a Nominee for the 2015 Georgia CIO of the Year. 

Steve is currently the Senior Director of Engineering overseeing the Pay Product Group at Ultimate Software.  In this role, he helps lead the definition and execution of the strategy for the Payroll, Time, and Rewards domains while partnering with the other two product groups to improve the overall system of delivery. 

Prior to joining Ultimate Software, Steve was an Executive Vice President at LeadingAgile.  In this role, he was responsible for leading transformation engagements in a variety of industries.  He primarily led an engagement with a Fortune 10 company to transform a 10,000+ person global IT organization from project-based delivery to an agile, product-based delivery system.

Acting CIO/CTO at Horizon Software, leading product strategy, engineering, and IT
SVP of Software Development for the Optum Workers Compensation family of SaaS products
Acting CIO/CTO for Rainmaker, helping Rainmaker earn a spot as one of the Top 40 Innovative Technology Companies in Georgia
Co-authored 7 technology patents

Steve is a graduate of Furman University with a BS in Computer Science and Georgia Tech with an MS in Computer Graphics.
